To celebrate the demonic return of a satanic dog, his human family and their adventures in small town America, Adult Swim’s “Mr Pickles” season 3 kicks off with its first of what I hope will become many more Thrashtacular events in the future. The event made its tour to The House of Blues, Anaheim, the city home of another, slightly more famous satanic cult icon, Micky Mouse. Municipal Waste and Exodus headlined the show with local Nu-metal Band, Dirty Machines opening. “Municipal Waste is gonna fuck you up,” chants echoed through the hall as the Virginia locals took to the stage. “You’re Cut Off, Breathe Grease and Headbanger Face-rip,” shredded through the ears and into the minds of the mostly young fans.
Municipal Waste proclaimed their hatred for president and queef, Donald Trump which was meet with heavy fan fare and prompted “Fuck Donald Trump!” Even with a fucking cold, Tony Foresta seems to give everything he’s got to and for the crowd as he encourages fans to sure to the stage where they are met with furious high fives last seen in the mid-90’s. I fucking love these guys!
Exodus took the stage after and continued the onslaught of Thrash metal. The youthful fans were taken back to the beginning with mostly tracks from their genre defining first album,”Bonded By Blood,” and although the band has had many member changes, Gary Holt and Exodus made me feel like I was in Richmond, Ca in the 80’s where it all began. The pit was lit, the Hall was packed and the music shredded the ears of the masses!
The tour is currently still active with the guys stopping at Denver, Colorado for a kick ass show!
