Legendary Thrash titans, ‘Testament’ & ‘Sepultura’ played an intense show to a packed house at the new House of Blues in Anaheim, California. Tracks from the set list included the classics such as ‘Electric Crown’, ‘Souls of Black’ and ‘Into The Pit’.

2017 marks the 30th anniversary of the bands debut classic album ‘The Legacy’, which was released back in 1987. Only a couple of songs from the album were played during the night. T-Shirts were sold as well to commemorate the anniversary, so we hope the band will celebrate and perform the entire album in the future.

The bands latest release is ‘Brotherhood of the Snake’ which includes Chuck Billy (vocals), Eric Peterson (guitars), Alex Skolnick (guitars), Steve DiGiorgio (bass), and Gene Hoglan(drums). The album is currently available via streaming on Spotify.

Sepultura is touring their latest album ‘Machine Messiah’ which was released earlier this yea. The band will also celebrate the world premiere of their documentary, ‘Sepultura Endurance’, at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles on May 21st. Fans are invited to the unique experience that will include a screening of the film followed by an intimate Q&A with the band.

The film shows the journey from their humble rural beginnings to decades spent on the international stage, giving an in-depth look into how the band continues to thrive in a changing metal landscape. Crammed full of rare archival footage, and featuring interviews with legends like Lars Ulrich and Scott Ian, and younger artists influenced by SEPULTURA, like Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, SepulturaEndurance is the definitive document of the band’s myths, struggles and heart.

Testament

Testament was one of the first thrash metal bands to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980s. Originally formed as ‘Legacy’ in 1983 by founding members Eric Peterson (rhythm guitar), Derrick Ramirez (guitar) and Louie Clemente (drums), the line-up included vocalist Steve Souza and Greg Christian (bass). Ramirez was later replaced by wunderkind Alex Skolnick (lead guitar). Souza soon departed to join Exodus and suggested that the towering Chuck Billy take over as frontman(and was later run over by a bus). Read more on Last.fm
